Our competition terms if you wish to enter any of our competitions. 


We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. 
These terms were most recently updated on 15th March 2020. 


We may update and change our site from time to time to reflect our users’ needs and our business priorities. We will not give you any prior notification of such changes. 


Our site is directed to only those people aged 16 or over and we do not represent that content available on or through our site is appropriate for use or available in other locations. 


Access to our site is free of charge. 
A payment is required for you to enter any of our competitions (unless you enter a competition by way of free postal entry). 
Entry to a competition does not guarantee a prize. 
It is your responsibility to make any and all arrangements necessary in order to access our site. 
Our site is provided “as is” and on an “as available” basis. We may alter, suspend, or discontinue our site (or any part of it) at any time and without notice. Subject to the remainder of these Terms of Use and our competition terms, we will not be liable to you in any way if our site (or any part of it) is unavailable at any time and for any period. 


Certain parts of our site (including the ability to enter competitions) require an account in order to use them. You can register for an account free of charge. 
If you wish to enter a competition by way of postal entry, you will still be required to register for an account. 
You may not create an account if you are under the age of 16. 
When creating an account, the information you provide must be accurate and complete. If any of your information changes at a later date, it is your responsibility to ensure that your account is kept up-to-date. 
We recommend that you choose a strong password for your account, for example, using a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. 
It is your responsibility to keep your password safe. You must not share your account with anyone else. If you believe your account is being used without your permission, please contact us immediately using our contact page at We will not be liable for any unauthorized use of your account. 
You must not use anyone else’s account without the express permission of the User to whom the account belongs. 
If you wish to delete your account, please contact us using our contact page at and we will process your request. If your account remains inactive for more than 6 months, we will delete your account without notice to you. Once an account has been deleted, We will remove your information from our systems (save as set out in our privacy and cookies policy) and will remove your user content from our site (where applicable). Deleting your account will also remove access to any areas of our site requiring an account for access. 


We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will not give you notice of any suspension or withdrawal. 
You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

This information and these materials have not been verified or approved by us. The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.

We are not responsible for any third party advertising on our site. Each third party advertiser is responsible for the content of their own third party advertising. You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You may not use our site: 
In any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.

We may from time to time provide interactive services on our site, including, without limitation:

Where we do provide any interactive service, we will provide clear information to you about the kind of service offered, if it is moderated and what form of moderation is used (including whether it is human or technical). 
We will do our best to assess any possible risks for users (and in particular, for children) from third parties when they use any interactive service provided on our site, and we will decide in each case whether it is appropriate to use moderation of the relevant service (including what kind of moderation to use) in the light of those risks. A Contribution must not: 
Be defamatory of any person. 
Be obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory. 
Promote sexually explicit material. 
Promote violence. 
Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. 
Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person. 
Be likely to deceive any person. 
Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence. 
Promote any illegal activity. 
Be in contempt of court. 
Be threatening, abuse or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety. 
Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person. 
Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person. 
Give the impression that the Contribution emanates from us, if this is not the case. 
Advocate, promote, incite any party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse. 
Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. 
Contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites. 


When we consider that a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate. 
Failure to comply with this policy constitutes a material breach of the terms of use upon which you are permitted to use our site, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions: 
Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site. 
Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any Contribution uploaded by you to our site. 
Issue of a warning to you. 
Issue legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach. 
Take further legal action against you. 
Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law. 
We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to breaches of this acceptable use policy. The actions we may take are not limited to those described above, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate. 


All the actions you make and information you post on our site remain your responsibility. Therefore, you agree to indemnify, defend, release, and hold us, and our partners, licensors, affiliates, contractors, officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, harmless, from and against any third party claims, damages (actual and/or consequential), actions, proceedings, demands, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) suffered or reasonably incurred by us arising as a result of, or in connection with: 
1. Any negligent acts, omissions or wilful misconduct by you; 
2. Your access to and use of the service; 
3. The uploading or submission of Content to the service by you; 
4. Any breach of these terms by you; and/or 
5. Your violation of any law or of any rights of any third party. 
We retain the exclusive right to settle, compromise and pay any and all claims or causes of action which are brought against us without your prior consent. If we ask, you will co-operate fully and reasonably as required by us in the defence of any relevant claim. 


The terms of this policy, its subject matter and its formation are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction. 


Unless specifically stated otherwise on the Website, each competition will run from the date as advertised on the Website (the "Opening Date") until the earlier of: 
i. The date when the last ticket for that competition has been sold; or 
ii. 1 calendar month from the Opening Date 
This will then be the "Closing Date”. 
The Promoter may, at its discretion, move the Closing Date to a date earlier than that specified above. 
The Promoter may, at its discretion, extend the Closing Date for a further period of up to 1 calendar month. 
All competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than the Closing date. 
Any entries to a competition made after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified. 
To enter a competition you will need to register for an account (“Account”) on the Website (even if you wish to enter using the free postal entry route). 
There is no charge to register for an Account on the Website, but there will be a set charge for each competition that you wish to enter via the Website. 
To submit an entry to a competition: 
A. Online via the Website: 
i. Follow the on-screen website instructions to select the competition you wish to enter. You will be asked to provide your Account details. 
ii. You will be asked to answer a question of skill, judgment or knowledge. 
iii. Make payment – all payments are made through a third-party payment service provider, Pay Zone, and can be made by those credit and debit cards as set out on the Website. 
iv. Once you have made the non-refundable payment for your entry and if you have answered the question correctly, we will then contact you by email or text to confirm your entry into the competition. 
v. If you do not answer the question correctly, you will not be entered into the competition but you will not receive any refund of the entry payment. 
vi. You are not deemed to have entered the competition unless we have confirmed your entry by email or text. 
B. Free postal entry 
i. Send an envelope with a second-class stamp to Herts Car Competitions Three Gables Business Centre, Corner hall, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP3 9HN 
ii. All postal entries must be received no later than 3 working days before the Closing Date. 
iii. Entries received on anything other than an envelope will not be accepted. In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the competition. 
iv. The Promoter will collect all postal entries from the address once a week and then 3 working days prior to the Closing Date in order for the Promoter to be able to effectively process the entry forms prior to the Closing Date. 
v. On the reverse of the envelope you must clearly display your full name (including any middle names), date of birth in (MM/DD/YYYY) format, full postal address as shown on your driving licence, full driving licence number, contact number and email address, all of which must match any information that is provide on the Website. In addition, you must enclose your chosen competition along with the answer to the question. 
vi. If you do not complete all of the above information correctly, answer the question correctly, or if we receive your entry less than 3 days before or after the Closing Date, you will not be entered into the competition. 
vii. In the event any postal entry is received after the last ticket has been sold it will not be entered into the competition. 
viii. We will only accept four free postal entry per natural or legal person for each competition unless otherwise stated on the Website. 
The Promoter will not accept 
i. responsibility for any competition entries that are delayed or lost in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, lost or undelivered postal entries, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. 
ii. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition; 
iii. any postal entry submitted if no active Account has been registered on the Website, or if the details on the postal entry differ to those of the Account registered on the Website. 
By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The competition entries will be picked at random by a Google number generator on a live Facebook feed. We reserve the right to change the system used or how and when the entries are picked.
